Author Guidelines

Authors are invited to make a submission to this journal. All submissions will be assessed by an editor to determine whether they meet the aims and scope of this journal. Those considered to be a good fit will be sent for peer review before determining whether they will be accepted or rejected.

Before making a submission, authors are responsible for obtaining permission to publish any material included with the submission, such as photos, documents and datasets. All authors identified on the submission must consent to be identified as an author. Where appropriate, research should be approved by an appropriate ethics committee in accordance with the legal requirements of the study's country.

If the submission has already been published and the author retains the copyright, it may be republished in the Working Paper Series (WPS) as a student working paper. The author may retain the original formatting when uploading the file.

An editor may desk reject a submission if it does not meet minimum standards of quality. Before submitting, please ensure that the study design and research argument are structured and articulated properly. The title should be concise and the abstract should be able to stand on its own. This will increase the likelihood of reviewers agreeing to review the paper. When you're satisfied that your submission meets this standard, please follow the checklist below to prepare your submission.

The ADVEX Working Paper Series (WPS) publishes preliminary scholarly work that has undergone Editorial Review by ADVEX faculty. Authors must comply with the following formatting requirements prior to submission.


 

Submission Preparation Checklist

All submissions must meet the following requirements.

  • This submission meets the requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.
  • If the submission has already been published and the author retains the copyright, it may be republished in the Working Paper Series (WPS) as a student working paper. The author may retain the original formatting when uploading the file.
  • All references have been checked for accuracy and completeness.
  • All tables and figures have been numbered and labeled.
  • Permission has been obtained to publish all photos, datasets and other material provided with this submission.

Copyright Notice

Authors who publish in the ADVEX Working Paper Series (WPS) retain copyright of their work. By submitting to WPS, authors grant ADVEX a non-exclusive license to publish, distribute, and archive the working paper in electronic format on the journal platform and related academic repositories.

Working papers published in WPS represent research in progress or preliminary scholarly outputs. Authors remain free to revise and submit their work to peer-reviewed journals or academic conferences. Where subsequent publication occurs, authors are expected to acknowledge the original working paper version published in WPS.

Authors are responsible for ensuring that their submission does not infringe any copyright, intellectual property, or third-party rights.

The names and email addresses entered in this journal site will be used exclusively for the stated purposes of this journal and will not be made available for any other purpose or to any other party.

Working Papers

Working Papers publish preliminary research findings, research-in-progress manuscripts, thesis-derived papers, and scholarly academic outputs intended to stimulate academic discussion and knowledge development.

Submissions may include conceptual papers, empirical studies, literature-based research, and applied academic research across business, management, education, technology, and interdisciplinary professional fields.

All submissions undergo editorial screening to ensure academic relevance, originality, and clarity. As part of a working paper publication model, manuscripts may represent developing research that may later be expanded into formal peer-reviewed journal articles.

Working papers should demonstrate academic rigor, appropriate referencing, and adherence to ethical research standards.

Applied Research & Projects

The Applied Research & Projects section publishes scholarly outputs derived from applied academic studies, capstone projects, industry-based research, and professional practice investigations.

Submissions focus on real-world problem-solving, organizational analysis, strategic implementation studies, and evidence-based professional practice across business, management, education, technology, and interdisciplinary professional fields.

Manuscripts may include applied research reports, project-based studies, case-based investigations, and practice-oriented academic work demonstrating integration of theory and professional application.

Submissions undergo editorial screening to ensure academic integrity, relevance, and clarity. Applied research papers should demonstrate systematic analysis, appropriate academic referencing, and ethical research conduct.

Thesis & Dissertation Summaries

The Thesis & Dissertation Summaries section publishes structured academic summaries of approved postgraduate research, including master’s theses and doctoral dissertations.

Submissions present condensed scholarly overviews highlighting research objectives, methodology, key findings, academic contributions, and practical implications. Full thesis manuscripts are not required and may be subject to institutional or author copyright restrictions.

Summaries must demonstrate academic rigor, proper referencing, ethical research compliance, and clarity of scholarly communication.

All submissions undergo editorial review to ensure academic quality, relevance, and compliance with institutional academic standards.

Case Studies & Professional Practice

The Case Studies & Professional Practice section publishes scholarly analyses of real-world organizational experiences, professional practice development, and industry-based case investigations.

Submissions may include organizational case studies, strategic implementation analyses, professional consultancy projects, leadership practice reflections, and evidence-based professional development studies across business, management, education, technology, and interdisciplinary professional fields.

Manuscripts should demonstrate structured analytical approaches, integration of theoretical frameworks, critical evaluation of professional practice, and practical contributions to industry knowledge.

Submissions undergo editorial review to ensure academic integrity, clarity, relevance, and professional value. Authors must ensure confidentiality of sensitive organizational data and obtain necessary permissions when applicable.
